This speaker lets me travel with my netbook and play music on the road. The bass isn't booming, but it sounds good enough to fill a hotel room with music while I shower, etc. That's all I was looking for. It's a bit bigger than I expected, but small enough to pack. The fact that it's USB powered is terrific.

I purchased this product and it works fine, exactly what I was looking for. Not a BOSE system, but to improve sound on laptop, perfect. I did notice after a short while, sometimes it would work, other times, not. Seemed to occur after I had removed the product. No "driver" is needed, so couldn't figure out problem. I did go into the SOUND settings, and was able to change default. Apparently the internal speakers were the default. Fixed the problem for me, hope it helps.

If you plan on using these for music I don't think I would recommend them as the sound quality is not that great. I just needed something that I could move easily with my laptop that would give me louder sound than the built-in speakers. These work perfectly for what I wanted. I have other speakers that are a lot less portable that I use if I want to play music.

I was amazed how good this speaker works. I have an Acer 10.1" netbook for travel and the speakers leave a lot to be desired. This speaker works great (better than my big, expensive laptop) and very easy to pack.

I received the usb speaker a lot quicker than I thought I would. It sounds great, very loud for such a little thing, and my Vista laptop installed it automatically - no problem. Price was right! Great deal!
